We’re lucky enough to be hosting The Real Thing with original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith on Saturday 18th May here at The Grand in Clitheroe. Alongside their catalogue of hits – You To Me Are Everything, Children Of The Ghetto, Can You Feel The Force and more, they’ll be playing a selection of amazing new material from their 2022 album A Brand New Day.

This is their first album of new material in 44 years, and it hit No.3 in Amazon’s best seller list. The album’s lead single Hang On Never Let Go is sure to please fans of their older material, particularly those that like the slower, more intimate tracks. 

The Real Thing’s live shows are absolutely not to be missed. They can whip up a crowd instantly and Smith and Amoo’s vocals are just as good today as they ever were, plus their band is world-class. Richie is another class act and has actually performed alongside former members of The Drifters including Ray Lewis, Billy Lewis and Butch Leake. Expect to hear a range of classic hits from Richie and his band that will instantly transport you to the golden age of soul and disco.
