Make Your Cut

14th – 18th August 2023

The Grand and Blaze have come together to produce an exciting new project, ‘Make Your Cut’, to empower young filmmakers to co-create a short film.

Make Your Cut is a week-long, hands-on filmmaking project for young film enthusiasts.  Inspiring local filmmakers Broden Salmon and Tom Parkinson will be the project facilitators, sharing their knowledge, skills and advice along the way. Everyone will be involved from pre-production, script development and filming all elements through to the finished film, which will be screened at The Grand Venue this autumn.

Participants can expect to come away having developed and honed their skills and experience in filmmaking and met other young filmmakers in their area.

We are looking for ten individuals passionate about filmmaking and hungry to learn more, aged between the ages of 13-25, who live within the local area.

The project is free to take part in, and all equipment will be provided.
