Bunker Sounds
A new project brought to you by The Grand, designed to guide bands and artists on their next step within the music industry. Tailored sessions and expert guidance will help tackle the common pitfalls facing modern musicians.

What is Bunker Sounds?
Bunker Sounds is a project, run on a weekly or bi-weekly basis whereby bands and artists get one-on-one advice and guidance to help them progress within the music industry. The programme is tailored completely to your needs and can help you with songwriting, marketing, pitching for gigs, photo shoots, recording – whatever you need.
Sessions are run by our in-house tutor who has decades of experience recording and touring all over the continent. We also have a network of other professionals who we can call upon for masterclasses when we need external guidance.
Who is it for?
Primarily, Bunker Sounds is for bands but it’s also open to solo artists/duos. It’s for musicians who are making their own original music but want help progressing to the next level.
What does it include?
One-on-one expert guidance, tuition and masterclasses, recording studio time, rehearsal space, use of our professional network and more. The Grand is a well-connected, creative space with an intricate network. Bunker Sounds members will get access to this as well as many of the associated opportunities.
If you want to focus on content creation, we can help you create the assets – you’ll actually receive the end result. If you need help writing songs, we can sit there and write with you, or steer you in the right direction. Need help getting gigs? We can tell you who to contact and what to say.
How much does it cost?
£35 per session (per artist/band, not per person)
How to apply

Pilot Success – Lightguard
Last September, we brought on Lightguard as our first Bunker Sounds artist. Within that time, they have gone from having played a handful of gigs to having a number of paid gigs and paid festival slots under their belts.
Their focus was to write and record more original songs, so that’s what we did. In less then a year the band:
- – Recorded three professionally recorded and mastered original songs from extended sessions in the studio, layering tracks with additional guitars, vocals harmonies etc, with more written
– Were presented with an external opportunity to film a professional music video with the National Film and Television School
– Received multiple gigging opportunities, many of them paid – they played a support slot to a sold out audience here at The Grand, plus festival slots at Seek Out, Live at the Castle and more
– Original songs out on Spotify, Apple Music etc – distribution was handled for them by us
– Artwork created – single covers and band logo
