RVJ&B Festival & Stereo Press Present Secret Night Gang at St Mary’s Centre

Saturday 3 May 2025

This event is taking place at St Mary’s Centre Church Street, Clitheroe BB7 2DG – this venue accepts cash.

Secret Night Gang is a joyful slice of jazz-inflected soul, reflecting today’s genre-blending sensibilities with a heavy mix of gospel, R&B, soul, and jazz. Led by Manchester natives and childhood friends Kemani Anderson and Callum Connell they are on their way up and are well worth coming to watch and listen to.

Handpicked in 2021 by legendary broadcaster, DJ, producer, and label head Gilles Peterson from Manchester’s vibrant live music scene, the band has been championed by a wide range of tastemakers – including Rolling Stone, Clash magazine, Jazz FM, Jamie Cullum, and Bandcamp;  just to mention a few.

There’s plenty here for the head-nodding, chin-stroking lovers of jazz. But the eight-piece band is also happy to bypass the cerebral stuff and go straight for the feet, often locking into some seriously funky grooves – as is testified by the amount of people dancing at their gigs
