IVW: Cody Frost, Ugly Club, Material Goods, Agony Massive

Saturday 31 January 2026

Join us as we celebrate Independent Venue Week with the best emerging talent in Lancashire.

Presenting four of the most unique and uncompromising alternative acts on the UK scene, you can expect a blend of genres; from drum and bass, industrial and rock to all-out metal, with everything else in between.

Cody Frost

Cody Frost, the Burnley-born musician, illustrator, and tattoo artist celebrated for their fearless fusion of punk, rock, and hyperpop, joins us to help celebrate Independent Venue Week.

Since their debut EP ‘It’s Not Real’, Cody has garnered over 3 million streams and cemented their reputation as a rising force in alternative music. Their meteoric rise includes high-profile collaborations with Enter Shikari (‘BULL’), You Me At Six (‘A Love Letter To Those Who Feel Lost’), and Bury Tomorrow (‘The Carcass King’). Cody has earned accolades such as a UK Breakthrough Artist nomination at the Heavy Music Awards and has been championed by outlets like Billboard, Kerrang, Rock Sounds, Wonderland, and BBC Radio 1.

Ugly Club

Ugly Club take the parts people try to hide and throw them into the spotlight. Led by powerhouse vocalist Imo, they’re messy, they’re cathartic, and they’re a movement for misfits and underdogs who don’t quite fit the mould.

Mixing sparkly synths, crushing guitars, and raw, chaotic emotion makes them impossible to ignore. UGLY CLUB isn’t just a band ripping up festival stages up and down the country, they’re a reminder that being too much or not enough is exactly where the magic happens.

With industrial grit and arena-sized ambition, UGLY CLUB has carved out a space where the weird, the loud, and the misfits thrive, gaining them repeat attention from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Primordial, Total Rock & more. Their live shows are pure, sweaty anarchy, from tiny packed-out 100-cap basement in Manchester to 10,000 strong festival stages.

Material Goods

MATERIAL GOODS is a raw boundary-pushing DIY electronic / post-punk / art project started by musician and production enthusiast, Russell. Joined by Miles Berry and Billy Surr for live drums and guitar.

Loving dirty industrial mixes, genre blending/ bending and analog synths, Material Goods are influenced by the likes of Nine Inch Nails, One Day As A Lion, HEALTH, Idles, Death Grips and more.

Agony Massive

Multidisciplinary artists Agony Massive join us for the first time in Clitheroe. Blending break beats and electronic grunge with tales of nitrous oxide, JD sports bags and witchcraft, their shows detail a theatre of illicit life in Lancashire mill towns.
