Ella Shaw’s Academy of Arts presents…Sister Act JR.

On Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June the cast from Ella Shaw’s Academy of Arts performed the junior version of the Tony nominated Broadway musical, Sister Act Jr. The audience was filled with the cast’s friends and family, and it was also great to see some of the general public there to support the young and local talent we have here in the Ribble Valley.

Words from ESAA and Musical Director, Ella Shaw:

‘Our first ever musical production is complete, where do I start? It was a whirlwind of hard work but made for the  most incredible memories that will last a lifetime. The standard the students brought to the stage was exceptional, their talents shone through and their ability to work so hard as a team really made the show everything it was. The most beautiful part about it all was the friendships that blossomed behind the scenes and the excitement the children had walking into every rehearsal. We are beyond excited for the next one and the students are begging us to reveal the next one already….stay tuned it’s coming soon!’

“Wow! What a show! Being part of the Sister Act cast was a privilege and a joy. The cast and crew were so talented and professional, and Miss Ella and Miss Katherine did a great job putting on such an amazing production together. Playing the part of Deloris was not just a huge confident boost, but also a great step for me as a performer. Sister Act is the first ever production, and it altogether encouraged myself and the rest of the cast to ‘Raise our Voices’ and showcase our talents to our local Ribble Valley community. A huge thank you to Miss Ella and Miss Katherine for all their hard work on the show.” – Ruby Clarkson (Deloris)
