The Mark Lewis Trio with band leader, Ed Lomax, delightful singer Lyn Fairbanks, and the well-known/popular vibes player Wilf Nuttall will lead this Festival Lunchtime Live event.
Wilf, an outstanding jazz musician of his generation has thrilled jazz fans over years - hear brilliant solos in great style influenced by Milt Jackson & Cal Trader but with Wilf's voice in any performance! Witness amazing bebop improvisations of tunes like “How High The Moon”, and four mallet interpretations of classics like “Over The Rainbow”. He has shared stage with the great Red Norvo, bringing lasting friendship & respect. Wilf treasures mallets left to him by Red Norvo. Wilf is a legend!
Event, accessible to all, including Freedom Ticket holders, includes lunch from 12 noon - Lasagne or (Veggie) Cheese & Onion Pie. Tea, Coffee & cake on sale and people free to bring own drinks!
