The Northern Soultrain + Twisted Sisters (DJ Set)

2018's festive soul shakedown sees a welcome return to Clitheroe for one of the UK’s leading Northern Soul bands ‘The Northern Soultrain’ (formerly known as - The SoulTrain) for what promises to be a big party night for soul fans.

This night will be augmented by a DJ set from the Twisted Sisters (before and after the live band).  A late night licence has been applied for so this special festive night will keep you dancing (1am finish).

The nine-piece group who all come from the North West perform at the The Grand with a Northern Soul show that the band are boasting to be their strongest to date.

Now in their 11th year, The Soultrain had already been filling dance halls and dance floors with their powerful live shows when, in 2014, the band decided to focus mainly on Northern Soul.  Since then the band have gone from strength to strength gaining praise from venues and audiences all over the country. This is not a cabaret show, this is an authentic soul party!

Fronted by their charismatic lead singer Darrell Smith, the band also present the blistering sounds of the ‘Union Pacific Horns’ featuring saxophonist Tony Marshall (Kyla Brox). “We can’t wait to bring our show to Clitheroe in December and The Grand is a brilliant venue and perfect for our Christmas party!” - Anthony Bentley (guitar)

"My favourite North West Soul band, The Soultrain not only sound fantastic in the big ballrooms, but they really do look the part as well. A very talented group who put together their varied and imaginative set list to please all, and who are now quite rightly getting rave reviews and have developed a lasting connection with soul fans new and old with their powerful performances."
Richard Searling (Wigan Casino DJ)

The Northern SoulTrain will be playing live, the very best soul anthems from Wigan Casino, Twisted Wheel and Blackpool Mecca. Great songs by Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, Al Wilson, Dean Parish, Tony Clarke and many more.
