Opening Concert

The Grand Choir are hosting the Festival and will open the three days at their home venue, The Grand. Not only does 2018 mark the 10th Anniversary of the Grand Venue opening it's doors to the public but also 100 years since the end of WW1 and 100 years of the Suffragette movement, giving women the right to vote in the UK.
We are very excited to launch our Clitheroe Festival of Choirs this year, with our Festival of Peace. The Festival will hopefully develop into a bi-annual, non-competitive Choral Festival with a new theme each time. The next event will be in 2020, when the Choir celebrates it's 10th Birthday.

The Grand Choir

Formed in 2010, the Grand Choir continues to go from strength to strength, enjoying accompanying Tenors UnLtd, Blake and appearing on the backing tracks for the New York Tourists.  The Choir also perform for our local Care Homes and fundraising concerts in the local area.

Octameron

Octameron was formed in 1996 and regularly perform concerts in Lancashire and Yorkshire.  The group have an extensive and varied repertoire, some of it unaccompanied.  Drawing not only from Classical sources, but in a lighter vein, Jazz and swing-orientated music from the 20th Century.  Their aim is to enjoy themselves and ensure their audience have a wonderful time.
